The Tokyo Game Show has already got off to stellar start for Sony – and, perhaps most importantly, the PlayStation Vita. Publisher Namco Bandai has announced that it will be bringing the Monster Hunter-esque God Eater 2 to the platform holder's new handheld next year. Players will be able to choose between the PSP or Vita versions, with both titles boasting save data and multiplayer interoperability.
It's not quite the massive blockbuster Vita needs to reverse its fortunes in Japan, but Sony will be hoping that alongside Phantasy Star Online 2 and Soul Sacrifice, God Eater 2 has a decent impact in its home territory.

Hell yeah! I've been playing the crap out of the first one on my Vita lately. Well... As much of it as I can since I have too many other games to play as well.
So we don't get real MH, at least we get knockoff.
HUH i missed the sony pressconference tonight. But which games are also announced? I remember sony saying they had some new vita games to show?????????????? God eater is acceptable. I think monster hunter is an exclusive for the 3DS.
@Sanquine I'm updating the site now, but there wasn't a lot else I'm afraid.
I enjoed the first God Eater in the PSP. I would like to see the second title in Europe as well.
omg its looks like there really isnt any major support for vita from japanese developers...all the games are either psp available or wii ports...with the ps3 super slim and wii u,i just cant see many people buying vita during the holidays...
@JavierYHL I wouldn't underestimate this game. Even though it is also coming to PSP, this is definitely a big announcement.
