Excellent (but irritating) first-person shooter Borderlands 2 has shipped 5 million units worldwide, overlord Take-Two Interactive has announced. Speaking at its quarterly financial briefing, the company added that XCOM: Enemy Unknown has also proved to be a “critical and commercial success”.
"Take-Two's second quarter revenue and earnings exceeded our outlook, driven by the breakout success of 2K's Borderlands 2 and robust demand for our catalogue and digitally delivered offerings," CEO Strauss Zelnick said with an enormous grin on his face. "Moreover, with Grand Theft Auto V slated for Spring 2013, we are poised to generate substantial revenue and earnings growth in fiscal year 2014."
Don’t forget BioShock Infinite too, Strauss – it’s going to be a good year.

"5 million homes"?
@KALofKRYPTON I've updated the headline to avoid confusion.
XCOM is amazing. Captured the atmosphere of its predecessor successfully
I absolutely love Borderlands 2
