Capcom’s cult classic fighting franchise Darkstalkers will make a comeback on the PlayStation Network next year, the publisher has announced. The forgotten favourite – famous for spawning a slew of cosplay costumes – will make its long awaited return as Darkstalkers Resurrection, a downloadable compilation featuring the arcade versions of Night Warriors: Darkstalkers' Revenge and Darkstalkers 3.
Both games will take advantage of the nifty GGPO technology, and will include Ranked Match and Player Match online options. Replay sharing and YouTube functionality will also be present, as will HD filters and a bevy of unlockable art assets and bonuses. Someone point us in the direction of the candid Morrigan images.
The package will cost $14.99 when it hits Sony’s digital storefront. Feel free to freak out in the comments section below.

GET HYPE! I never got to play a lot of Darkstalkers but I loved it when I did. Can't wait for this.
The price tag has me worried... I really hope this doesn't turn into a situation like JoJo's Bizarre Adventure HD.
@SpaceKappa, You are getting 2 games for $15. Wasn't Jojo's $20?
It's two games that come with a fully-packaged online mode and Challenge/Tutorials, as well as unlockables. I think it'll be more than worth the price of admission.
Oh awesome!! Darkstalkers is a fantastic series!
Where is the original?
@XD375 In the trash where it belongs.
But seriously, why bother with the original? There was nothing that it had the other games didn't do better.
