If you’re still on the fence over Dante’s new look in upcoming PlayStation 3 hack-and-slash reboot DmC: Devil May Cry, then you might be pleased to learn that the title’s getting a demo prior to its 15th January release date.
Developer Ninja Theory confirmed the news at a New York Comic-Con panel over the weekend. The information was particularly difficult to interpret due to the chorus of boos ringing out throughout the auditorium. It turns out that fans still haven’t quite gotten over that white hair thing.

No, Dante, you do not have my attention. That trailer was awful. I'll try the demo before I make my decision, but the gameplay looks too slow and gritty for a DMC game. DMC has always been fast and stylish. But I guess that's what happens when you give a francise to a company that doesn't understand how to make a good action game, let alone knows the first thing about DMC.
Can't wait for this game! Really digging the new Dante and the reboot. Couldn't have given it to any better developers if you ask me. Heavenly sword was just superb.
The white hair excuse for not liking a game is missing the fact that the actual problem with this is that Dante has a completely different attitude than the old Dante.
That said, a different attitude isn't bad for me, just different. I won't be getting the demo, but definitely getting the game.
I think the character's pretty cool. Ninja Theory always makes believable protagonists, so I'm quite stoked for this. The game plays really well, too, from what I've sampled.
