The PlayStation Network is on fire at the moment – but that’s not stopping Sony from coming up with fresh ideas to keep you spending this October. The platform holder has announced that if you spend $100 through its digital storefront this month, you’ll get $20 in credit back. That cash will have to be reinvested into the PlayStation Store, but we're sure you'll find something nice to splash it on.
In actual fact, this is the perfect time for Sony to kick off this kind of scheme – with the Day 1 Digital promotion poised to begin in the coming days. In theory, you could pick up the likes of Resident Evil 6, Assassin’s Creed III and Need for Speed: Most Wanted digitally, and get $20 in credit back.
The promotion doesn’t just apply to new releases, though – it extends to anything that can be purchased from the PlayStation Store. Assuming you meet the terms of the offer, you’ll be emailed your $20 credit at some point in November.
There are more details available from the PlayStation Blog. Let us know if you intend to participate in this promotion in the comments section below.

Is this for all regions?
@KingGhidorah Just North America at the moment.
@get2sammyb Thanks
I don't have the money but still a pretty sweet deal.
Good timing. Lots of cool PSN game are coming this month and it gives people a reason to buy retail games digitally.
I never like these types of marketing campaigns. Just give us the 20% discount and be done with it. Even with $20 back I could buy a new release cheaper in store than on PSN.
This is good to hear after they announced the day 1 program. I'll be able to pick up some games that I planned on buying anyway, and save $20 from the cost of All-stars.
Hmm...since I prefer retail when given the choice, I'm really not sure if I'll hit $100 this month or not. Then again, New Little King's Story doesn't seem to be going retail, so that's a good chunk right there. If Sony certifies FFIII for Vita in the next month, that's $20 more...seriously, there's no excuse for it not to have already been certified. I don't think I've seen even ONE new PSP release since the Vita launched that WAS certified for Vita day one...but I digress.
Without knowing what all will release over the course of the month, I really can't say whether or not I'll hit $100. Be nice if I did though, I guess.
Even if I did buy mostly digital I don't buy games often enough to take advantage of this sorta deal. It is a good deal for anyone planning to buy a bunch of games off PSN anyway.
I'm not hitting $100 on downloads in a month, pass.
I've been looking forward to something like this for a while. Been thinking about signing up for psn+($60), and I'm for sure getting $10 worth of Vita dlc this month. That only leaves $30 to spend to get the promotion. NLKS or a few catch up titles should be enough.
Okay, never mind, hitting $100 is gonna be EASY! Just dropped $77 today alone, and I've got the rest of the month to finish it up.
@cheapogamer4life: A year of PS+ is $50, not $60, and TOTALLY worth it.
Thanks for the correction.
With PS mobile and ps+ coming to the Vita this month I'm sure I'll find something to spend that extra $10 on.
