Following weeks of speculation, SEGA has finally confirmed that Sonic the Fighters is coming to the PlayStation Network. As predicted, the terrible arcade fighting game will release alongside fellow Model 2 titles Virtua Fighter 2 and Fighting Vipers. You’ll be able to purchase all three games for ¥800 (roughly $10) in Japan – but SEGA should really be paying you to play Sonic the Fighters. At least the other two games are good, but we question the value of Virtua Fighter 2 when it’s going to be included in Yakuza 5 as a throw-away mini-game.
SEGA also plans to release Virtua Striker and Virtual On at a later date, but specific details are scarce. None of the titles have been confirmed for a Western release just yet, but we’d be surprised if they didn’t make their way overseas eventually.

I'm actually excited about this. Hopefully this'll come do Vita too... too many PS3 Sonic games.
This is also going to have online multiplayer and three ''new'' playable characters; Eggman, Metal Sonic, and Honey. Unlike certain others, I'm actually looking forward to this.
10$ for this...crap ?
better shell out money for all-star battle
Guys, you're missing the bigger news here. Fighting Vipers is coming to PSN. With two other games attatched to it, yes, but alone it would still be worth the $10.
I have never played Virtua Fighter 2, besides the Genesis version. I don't know much about Fighting Vipers but if it's any good I may consider getting this.
I don't know. For all its flaws, I still like Sonic the Fighters. Glad to hear about Virtua Fighter 2 and Fighting Vipers, though.
I actually really liked the Sonic Battle game for Gameboy Advance, is The Fighters any simmilar?
No. but I still love it
Eventually they will release the travesty that was Sonic R. But anyway I'll pick up VF 2 and Fighting Vipers on day 1
