We’re not sure that we understand Konami these days. The publisher seems committed to completely mismanaging every one of its non-Metal Gear and Pro Evolution Soccer brands. Take the recently announced Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 as an example. Despite being the sequel to a surprisingly popular PS3 adventure, the publisher is releasing new assets through creative director David Cox’s Twitter account. At least the game appears to be shaping up, huh? Maybe we'll actually get to see it in action one day.

At least Konami isn't as bad with it's franchises as Capcom. Sure, a few titles (Silent Hill, anyone?) have lost their magic, but they are still doing fairly well.
So will this game take place after the regular end of the first game, or after the after the credits really cool ending, or after the 2 DLC games (which I never played and probably never will b/c I rented the game from Gamefly.) Maybe they'll release a GH game includeding the DLC to promote the 2nd?
i love castlevania in 2D thats why i havent botherd with buying the 3D games. i played the demo for the first and that was about it. Im sure ill get these when they hit the 20$ mark.
