When it comes to gaming tastes, Japan can be quite introverted. While it laps up franchises such as Dragon Quest and Monster Hunter, it tends to let the most popular Western brands languish on store shelves. That’s something that Sony’s aiming to change with its annual ‘World Game Project’, a consumer event which provides Japanese players with access to titles that they might not have otherwise tried.
Despite the poor weather, throngs of gamers turned up to this year's showcase in Akihabara, where they got to sample titles such as Assassin’s Creed III, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified, and many more. You can peruse plenty of photos from the event through here.

Its a great series of photos of the back of people's heads. The photographer should be proud ;-p
"When it comes to gaming tastes, Japan can be quite introverted." Well put. This seems to be the big hurdle for the Vita. Glad to see Sony trying.
What?! Or have more Japanese games that would convince me
