Edmund McMillen has confirmed that The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is coming to both the PlayStation 3 and Vita. The game was teased earlier today, but now the outspoken developer has provided some firm details for you to sink your teeth into.
The re-release will include the full original game, alongside the Wrath of the Lamb add-on, and a new, similarly sized expansion that features a fresh final chapter, two new playable characters, and "tons more items, rooms, enemies, bosses, and the like”.
The title will boast local co-op, and some “secret stuff” that wasn’t possible in the Flash version. Despite the very specific information, however, the game has not entered full development yet. Proper production will begin on 1st January, with the port set to be finished by the end of 2013. McMillen is considering a pre-order discount for anyone that owns the adventure already.
