We’re vehemently against the addition of co-operative action to Dead Space 3, but even we can’t deny the appeal of this brand new trailer. The video introduces the title’s ‘Two Ways to Play’ tagline, which is designed to highlight the differences between single-player and multiplayer gameplay.
While you’ll be able to experience the entire campaign in solitary confinement if you prefer, playing in co-op will unlock additional scenes which uncover a little more about protagonist Isaac Clarke’s personality.
“If you’re playing single-player, the story has characters that come and go,” Visceral Games’ Steve Papoutsis told Polygon. “You get pieces of [Isaac’s] story in single-player, but you get more details of his struggles with dementia and his family and back story in co-op.”
We’ve embedded the fresh footage below. Are you prepared to play Dead Space 3 with a friend, or would you rather trudge through the terror on your own? Let us know in the comments section.

Oh my god, DO WANT. I loved the Dead Space series, even if I was too chicken to play the first one. And I honestly think that Co-Op only ruins the experience if you let it, I personally love running around with a buddy in pretty much any game. Single Player for scares, Co-Op for thrills~
Oke, love it:D Dead space 2 was super awesome
That trailer was awesome. I will keep an eye on this when it comes out.
