A new application that allows you to play PlayStation Home mini-games on the PlayStation Vita has been spotted in the European PlayStation Store. The free download – discovered by PS Vita Round Up – features playable versions of WipEout 2D, Ice Breaker, and Scribble Shooter. The latter is represented in demo form, but the full version can be purchased via Sony’s storefront. The shmup supports cross-buy, meaning that you only need to pay once in order to unlock the title on both the Vita and in PlayStation Home.
Sadly, we were unable to find the application in the UK version of the PlayStation Store – but we did uncover the product page for Scribble Shooter after some searching. Purchasing the title didn’t prompt a download procedure like normal Vita transactions, leading us to believe that you need the aforementioned application to run the full release. We were able to play the mini-game in PlayStation Home as promised, though.
We’ve contacted Sony for more information about the mysterious download, but we’re not expecting a response until the New Year. In the meantime, we’ve embedded a video of a French person fiddling around with the application in the space below.

Interesting, I wonder if the once rumored 'ROOM' for psp will be come a small version of Homeon Vita?
Scribble Shooter looks so good. Shame it's in Home- I have no tollerance for it.
@KALofKRYPTON Well, at least you'll be able to play it on Vita once this launches properly, right? I actually really like PlayStation Home myself, but it needs refining if they're going to put it on PS4.
@get2sammyb It's one of those things that- at launch, I was really excited about- but six years on it still feels stunted and hampered with endless loading. I last went on about a year ago.
Will the Arcade release for PS3 I wonder so that we need not navigate Home?
Alas, I don't have a Vita anymore- it went in to the trading pot to replace my aged 60GB PS3. I had hoped to pick one up in the sales (£160.00 deals were sweet) but I have a trip to Oz to finance! So, maybe I'll pick up another one in a few months.
@KALofKRYPTON Yeah, if you do pick one up, this will allow you to play Scribble Shooter without having to boot up Home in the usual way. It's basically the mini-games emulated on the Vita.
I totally agree with you regarding the problems with Home, but I feel like it's finally starting to unlock its full potential now. New spaces include a Sim City-esque game and a third-person shooter. Neither are "amazing", but they are both free-to-play and use the engine well. I agree that loading is a huge issue, though, and it's something they need to solve if they're going to bring the platform to PS4.
