European gamers expecting to get a free copy of the original BioShock with upcoming sequel BioShock Infinite have had their hopes dashed by publisher 2K Games today. Chatting with Eurogamer, a company spokesperson explained that the offer applies to the North American region only.
“I can confirm that the PS3 version of BioShock Infinite in North America contains a copy of the original BioShock," a representative said. “This is not the case in the UK – it's a local promotion in North America.”
While we understand that content arrangements vary depending on the territory, we’re surprised that 2K Games hasn’t opted to bring this deal overseas. After all, it adds value to the PS3 version of BioShock Infinite – a game that the company's banking on being a smash hit around the globe.

Sorry to hear that, Europe.
I still haven't played any of the Bioshock games. (gasp!)
I own the original but haven't gotten around to playing it yet. Is it worth me selling it back, if I I'm pretty sure that I'll get Bioshock Infinite with the original for free?
Questions I have:
Will the free copy be physical or digital?
Will any of the extra stuff in the PS3 version be included, or just the base game?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer these questions.
@bauckster It's definitely worth selling it back if you're certain you're going to get BioShock Infinite. As for the other questions, I don't think they've been answered yet.
then i will import a us version i need the free copy havent play bioshock 1 before...
