As rumoured, Evolution Studios is working on a street racing game for PlayStation 4. The tantalising DriveClub was announced during Sony’s press conference earlier this evening, and focuses on team action. The game has a deep social underpinning similar to Autolog, allowing you to compete in real-world clubs against friends and strangers from across the globe.
The game is all about first-person racing, providing a similar cockpit feel to Need for Speed: Shift. The developer is also paying an obsessive amount of attention to the title’s car models, with every detail painstakingly rendered in polygons. Polyphony Digital’s influence appears to have rubbed off on the Runcorn-based team.

The thin line between reality and gaming Those graphics are insane, hopefully this will be a great racing game, until the next Gran Turismo comes.
umm... where is the game? Also, I have never been a fan of the cockpit view in games. It is too restrictive and never feels like sitting in a car. If they manage to get Oculus Rift technology with a cockpit view game, that would make me interested.
Goodbye Motorstorm, we hardly knew thee.
No Motorstorm n No Wipeout. Instead we get DriveClub. This is one area where the ball has definitely been dropped. With SCEE Livepool gone n Motorstorm being brushed under the rug by Evolution, where do PlayStation fans turn now for thier alternative racer? This looks a little too NFS Shift with Gran Turismo attention to detail, which is unfortunate for me. It deos sound like it has some good ideas being brought to the table though.
