Given the sheer amount of awards that Journey has scooped up over the past 12 months, we suppose it’s about time that the title stopped hogging the limelight. Despite being the first ever video game to be nominated for a Grammy award, Austin Wintory’s scorching score lost out to Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross’ equally outstanding The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo accompaniment in the ‘Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media’ category.
Gracious in defeat, Wintory congratulated the Nine Inch Nails front man over Twitter. His message prompted a slew of responses from the video game community, including a pretty comical comment from thatgamecompany co-founder Kellee Santiago. “Just so you know,” she said. “If I were there, I totally would have Kanye West-ed that for you.” We would pay good money to see that.

Yet another reason that Trent Reznor shouldn't be allowed to do anything anymore!
Obviously his name being attached and probably very few (if any) on the panel hearing the Journey score in conext.
At least Argo won stuff...
@KALofKRYPTON To be fair, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo soundtrack is good.
@get2sammyb
It's alright- better than the film that's for sure!
I can't say I'm surprised. It's great they were nominated I just never thought they would win. I'm not saying they shouldn't just didn't think it would happen.
That said they might have opened the door for a video game to win in the future.
