Gran Turismo developer Polyphony Digital's next game may not be for the PlayStation 4, but the Japanese team still had input into the development of the next generation console and the PlayStation Vita. Speaking in an interview with 4gamer, Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida talked briefly about the studio’s role in the production of the systems.
“Key members of Polyphony Digital are involved in the very development of the PS4 and the Vita,” the likeable executive said. “I am thinking of asking them what’s going on with Gran Turismo, but related matters will probably be made clear by its representative Kazunori Yamauchi in due time.”
Overnight, SCEE’s Michael Denny insinuated that Gran Turismo 6 is set to race onto the PlayStation 3, which would be a strange move by the publisher in our opinion. There have also been rumours that an entry in the simulation series is in development for Vita. Which platform would you like the next Gran Turismo to release on? Let us know in the comments section below.

Im still playing GT5 so Im not too fussed. A fully fledged Gran Turismo on Vita or a new entry on Ps4 would be preferable. GT5 still feels fresh so a GT6 on PS3 wouldn't be necessary at the moment
I want GT for Vita, but want it to be more arcade than usual GT =). Something like new Forza =)... Mhe-he-he =)
i wouldn't mind either way if they have already begun making GT6 for the PS3 then carry on and release a port or GT7 on the PS4 no point stoping and adding more time and money to the cost
Vita is begging for a full-fledged sim, just like 1-5. Not everyone with a Vita takes the subway/bus (strange marketing move, says I), and there are already arcade racers for Vita (NFS, wipeout). 1000 cars doesn't seem out of Vita's capability
i need it on vita
@charlesnarles Man, you can't call game Real Driving Simulator, if you playing it on small Vita screen =). And NFS and Wipeout are not in my taste at all. I just beat platinum out of Ridge Racer and want moar. And I want game about driving, not about fighting with police or streaming through skyscrapers on rockets.
Larger fan base on ps3 which would mean more money, ala gta 5
Does seem strange to put GT6 on PS3 with PS4 right around the corner. Then again, the PS3 with a price drop could become Sonys bread & butter. So more AAA's for current systems makes sense.
