It's a hard life

Committing your life to collecting digital trinkets can be a real chore. Not only are you forced to sit through inane difficulty tiers, assemble sizeable bounties of feathers, and grind you way through hundreds of multiplayer levels with strangers, but it’s also relatively unappreciated work. Who gives you a pat on the back for achieving your latest Platinum? Certainly not the community on PS3Trophies.org – it’s just another number to them. Thankfully, platform holder Sony understands your plight.

As posted on our forums earlier today, the company is currently sending out a batch of congratulations messages to players who achieved the Platinum Trophy in Killzone 3. Former staff writer Nathan Michalik was among the 0.01 per cent who achieved the feat, and shared the above message with us. It’s nice to know that the publisher cares.

I only have 3 Platinums
Infamous 2
Sly Cooper 1&2 (THIS ARE REALLY EASY TO GET)
I must reallly like the game to try to get all the trophies but sometimes this trophies are kinda based in luck SOMETIMES

@Epic Yeah, in order for me to get a plat I either need to fall in love with the game or it be a really easy plat I currently have 17 platinum, but considering I have 3,483 total trophies, it's nothing to brag about

I was hoping for some rewards program, but I suppose this is nice. I've got 24 platinums, though I'm surprised killzone 3 is so rare. I thought it was relatively easy(especially compared to killzone 2!) And it was really fun to get also.

This is awesome!! A re4ally simple but effective method of customer appreciation. Im working on my 5th platinum with Sly 4. Now Sanzaru strike me as the sort to send a simular appreciation email for platinuming their game,

Earning Platinums are not easy. So far, I have only earned one (Gravity Rush). Nice to see Sony going out of their way to congratulate gamers.

I have 53 Plats out of 3,833 total Trophies, but I don't play Killzone, so I certainly won't be getting this message. I know a guy who Platted 2 AND 3, though, so I guess he's proud. My hardest Plats include Sonic Unleashed and Eat Lead.
