Oh, it’s on. Following Microsoft’s less than savoury comments regarding the PlayStation 3’s entertainment options yesterday, Sony has launched a brand new batch of text advertisements blatantly mocking its closest competitor. One commercial takes a direct swipe at the Xbox 360’s prolific ‘Jump In’ campaign, telling consumers to ‘Jump Out’ instead. “PlayStation changes gaming,” the remainder of the strap line reads, before pointing to the company’s widely publicised 20th February press conference.
Another promotion takes a jab at both Microsoft and Nintendo’s casual focus: “Yoga isn’t gaming,” it reads. “Find out what PlayStation’s got on 20th February.” The message insinuates that the company will focus its upcoming event on core games, which should delight the majority of you. All will be revealed in less than five days.

SEGA does what Nintendon't.
@get2sammyb SEGA's Mega Drive era advertisements are classic To be honest its about rime Sony have trash talked a little. Nintendo have been doing it in a subtle way while M$ have been pretty blatant lately. Funnily enough though M$ coincides with the PS3 overtaking the 360 in sales
Sony is really playing hardball now. This can only mean that they have a lot of big titles to announce alongside the PS4. Otherwise, why say “PlayStation changes gaming”. If they do have games that they plan on being PS4 launch titles, I feel that they should let third party games carry the PS4 for a little, then they can slowly start bringing out the big guns.
But, that's just how I would play it. Who knows, their usual method has always worked, and "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" right?
They seem to be going all SEGA on us, it makes sense that they seem to be focusing on microsoft rather than nintendo (even with the implied jab) as Microsoft infringe more on Sony's territory than Nintendo (who get their niche by making stellar first party games).
Begun the consoles wars have.
AGAIN
Seems Xbox was brought about with the sole purpose of destroying PlayStation so it's only fair.
Taking a swipe at "Casual" and Nintendo? Hmmm...could come across as sour grapes since their casual push wasn't as successful as Nintendo's, or could be just getting back at Nintendo for Nintendo's "glasses free 3D" jab!
This is going to be a war, but for some reason I think MS has lost already. Interesting to watch how it plays out.
Shots. Fired.
“Yoga isn’t gaming,” - Love it!
It's about damn time. When each generation starts to wind down people at these companies clam up and tend to stay away from the childish bickering. While that's the way adults are supposed to behave, it's quite boring. The 'console wars' are officially back and I couldn't be more happy about it. Lets hope Nintendo gets in on the act as well.
I'm actually glad to see ads like this. Though I would like to point out there's a BIG difference between "console wars" with humour like "Yoga isn't gaming" and a bunch of fanboys saying "s#ck it f@gg0t your systm licks monkey b@lls". Humour makes everything better. Piper's Pit will always be better than D-GenX.
This one I found is pretty funny:

@Valky thats not even funny.
Kinda funny, but not a big fan of companies advertising like the politicians do. At the same time, MS was be at it for the life of the 360, so it's only fair, and Sony does need to be more aggressive with their marketing. Thumbs up for building hype.
