Those of you in Europe will finally be able to waste your evenings watching videos of cute kittens instead of playing video games, as Sony has confirmed that it’s bringing YouTube to the PlayStation 3. The native application – already available in North America – will launch later today, and will allow you to browse high-definition content on your big screen.
Notable features include enhanced search functionality, full access to your subscriptions, and the option to use your smartphone or tablet as a remote. You’ll be able to download the application directly from the ‘My Channels’ section on the XMB. Let us know if this is something that you intend to use in the comments section below.

Nice, if it's as good as the Vita application then it's very welcome- smartphone remote too you say? Good stuff!
I noticed it last night on my PS3 for the first time. Thought about clicking on it but then decided I've already seen the Gangham Style video enough for 1 lifetime.
"and the option to use your smartphone or tablet as a remote."
This is news. I have a Samsung Tab 2 7" that I use as a remote for my PC for Hulu watching but I've never tried to get it to work with my PS3.
