Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is coming to the PlayStation 4, and that means that we can expect plenty of fancy visual effects. But, in an interview with Official PlayStation Magazine, content manager Carsten Myhill has hinted that graphical upgrades are not all that we should anticipate from the next generation release, as the DualShock 4 will play a key part, too.
“For PS4, the primary difference is the enhanced graphics, the enhanced visuals,” he told the magazine. “Now on our side we’ll be supporting that side of things. You imagine a rich epic vibrant world like the Caribbean is ideal visually to take advantage of the horsepower of the PS4. We’ll be supporting the new controller as well – we’ve got some very cool ideas for that.”
Earlier today, a leaked document hinted that the next generation version of Assassin Creed IV would boast some unique online features in single-player. Could they tie into the new controller functionality, perhaps? The studio's keeping things under wraps for the time being.
How would you like the DualShock 4’s features to be implemented in the swashbuckling sequel? Let us know in the comments section below.

Off topic, I can't read the title of AC4 without thinking of the punk band Black Flag. I doubt I will ever be able to separate the two in my head
@hamispink should have asked them to do the soundtrack lol. I hope the pad's implementation is better than swipe action sequences like Golden Abyss etc. Novel innovations please
Just saw a commercial for this during the nationally braodcast Knicks - OKC game on TNT. I thought it was a Capt Morgan rum commercial. You can pre-order and get a poster. A little early for me for an Oct. game though.
