It would appear that Sony really is gearing up to announce Gran Turismo 6, as the unannounced title has raced onto another retailer website. European outlet Multiplayer.com is currently taking pre-orders for the sequel, which is supposedly set to release on the PlayStation 3 on 28th November. It follows a similar listing on NewEgg.com, which, unsurprisingly, carried the exact same date.
Now, it's perfectly plausible that Multiplayer.com is merely responding to last week's rumours, but seeing as Sony's Worldwide Studios vice president Michael Denny accidentally outed the game earlier in the year, it's looking more and more likely that the sequel is on the way. The intended platform still strikes us as odd, but we've already discussed that topic in detail through here.
We wouldn't be surprised if Sony made an official announcement regarding this over the next couple of weeks, as it tends to be fairly active in the period leading up to E3.

If the cover art is not real, then someone has gone to a lot of trouble!
Yeah, that's what I want to know, where'd that cover art photo come from? Looks pretty legit to me (though I'm by no means an expert and am easily fooled by Photoshop.)
Still strikes me as odd though that a game of this magnitude would be coming out in Nov. but nobody even knew they were working on it yet? Polyphony Digital must have a serious crackdown on social media usage by it's employees. They're all going to have their "Share" button physically removed
Wow, Sony rocks this year =).
If true, it seems they've learned close to nothing from the initial failure of ps3.
@naruball I don't see how things proves that they didn't learn anything. Yes it would be better to have GT6 as a PS4 launch title, but it's not the end of the world because it's staying on PS3.
GT5 has so much content it seems like it could last a few more years.
I wonder if GT6 will be on PS3 and PS4. Its certainly been long enough for them to have developed both.
@3Above talk about killing DriveClub and that push. I am pretty sure it's just going to stay PS3, and its going to be Sony's answer to say hey we still care about the PS3 and will support it for a little even with the PS4 launch. Although we still wish you guys to move to the new technological beast known as PS4.
@3Above It's possible. I'm fascinated to hear the company explain the decision, honestly. Just seems so weird. Still a rumour for now, though.
If they overprice the PS4 like they did the PS3 at launch it's not going to matter what kinda of line up the PS4 has.
I think it's very clever. Early PS4 adopters have nice shiny new IP (Drive Club) to go with their new machine and those who are sticking with PS3 get a new entry in a PlayStation powerhouse franchise to keep them sweet.
Also to note, if GT6 is coming to PS3, that's probably because Polyphony have been working on it for a few years already, based on PS3 architechture.
