The claustrophobic corridors of the Queen Zenobia will come to life next week, when Capcom deploys a demo for Resident Evil: Revelations onto the PlayStation Network. Starting from 14th May in North America, you’ll be able to get to get your greasy mitts on a high-definition Jill Valentine – and shoot out some undead blubber in the process. European gamers will have to wait an extra 24 hours to test drive the former Nintendo 3DS exclusive, when the gameplay teaser arrives on 15th May.
We recently got our hands on the opening hours of the game, and acknowledged that it’s “shaping up to be a solid addition to the PS3’s survival horror catalogue” in our preview. “It certainly doesn’t have the visual punch of a native console release, but it doesn’t look poor by any stretch of the imagination,” we wrote. “Having only just dipped our toes into the adventure, we’re looking forward to taking a full plunge later in the year.” Will you be diving in with us? Going to play the demo but I never got into Resident Evil series they aren't just scary anymore.
@Epic They've never really been scary though, have they? If you're easily scared I guess maybe they are but if you've seen even just one scary movie then any Res Evil is a doddle. I had this on 3DS but never got round to playing it before my bag was stolen, losing me my 3DS and games, so give the demo a try. More importantly though, new Sound Shapes DLC and Kreig on Borderlands 2 are out on the same day!
@Epic I played the demo on the 3DS and it seems like it could be a good game.
Really looking forward to picking this up. Love everything Resident Evil.
It's an awesome game, definitely one of the best Resident Evils. I wouldn't put it up there with 1, 2 and Code Veronica but I do think it's better than 3-6 and any of the spinoffs. Looking forward to the demo to see how well the game makes the transition. $50 is a bit much considering this is a port of a handheld game but I'm a big RE fan so I'll probably get it.
