The Last Guardian isn’t dead. Despite comments from SCEA president Jack Tretton that seemed to insinuate that the title had pegged it, Worldwide Studios America's Scott Rohde has dismissed his boss’ claims, revealing that the title is definitely “still alive”, even though the firm doesn’t have any new details to share.
“We're not talking about when The Last Guardian is coming out, but it is still a game that there's a lot of love for inside PlayStation walls, because everybody sees the emotion that the entire fan base of PlayStation always responds with when we talk about it,” he told Joystiq in an interview earlier in the week. "It is alive."
Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida echoed Rohde’s comments, explaining that the title is in production as we type. “The game is in active development,” the likeable executive told Kotaku. “[Lead designer Fumito] Ueda-san shared updates a few months ago. Nothing has changed. My answer is, 'Yes, the game is in active development.' It’s not on hiatus at all. But we are not ready to reintroduce it. When we are ready, we will do that. Please wait.”
We’ll just keep twiddling our thumbs, then.

@Strofan7 Very, very unlikely. I have to imagine it will be PS4 at this point.
It's taking so long, tha it will probably arrive on the PS5...
At this point is would probably be too costly to cancel. I don't think the game will make Sony too much money now, but even if it is too late to make money off the game, it could help move PS4s. This game might be able bring profit to Sony indirectly.
yup it should be on the ps4...
Launch window game for the PlayStation 5?
@Strofan7
I love that vita too!
The Last Guardian must have been moved to PS4, else I couldn't see a reason, why it haven't release or at less been show ad E3 this year.
