Sony's Sending These Awesome Custom PS3s to Its Partners

Sony’s been in a very charitable mood lately, attempting to entice developers such as Mojang with PlayStation-related goodies. But while the gold PSone that the platform holder sent to Markus ‘Notch’ Persson was nice, these custom PlayStation 3 consoles take things a step further. Adam Boyes, the head of publisher and developer relations at SCEA, had these custom systems commissioned as gifts for some of its third-party partners.

Each console has been handcrafted by legendary modder Javier Riquelme. We're really fond of the ripped fabric effect on the BioShock Infinite model, but we reckon that the wooden Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag unit is probably the best. The BioShock and Assassin's Creed ones are pretty sweet. They are all pretty good but those two really pop.

The Bioshock Assassin's Creed and Batman ones i would LOVE oh i wish they would release these as faceplates or something

The GTA, Batman, and Bioshock ones seem pretty easy to make at home, if I had the time. ...Or a PS3. The other ones are amazing though, especially Assassin's Creed.

That Batman PS3 is gorgeous. I would go out and buy it in an instant if Sony released it to the public.

I already have 2 PS3s but I might buy another if they were to release these to the public. It's such a shame that Sony doesn't sell any really nice limited edition consoles like MS does with the 360.
