The real-world racy sex line numbers accidentally included in The Last of Us have been removed as part of the title’s v1.02 patch. The update – released overnight – changes “the texture of a phone number on a bulletin board” in the game, meaning that you’ll no longer find your dignity in tatters should you opt to call upon the, er, ‘Pest Control’ services advertised within the adventure.
In addition to removing the references to the saucy sex lines, the download also includes a handful of tweaks to the multiplayer mode, including improved host migration, and general camera and connectivity fixes. You can peruse the full roster of patch notes through here. And thus concludes an embarrassing week for Naughty Dog’s red-faced public relations department.

That's good. It's been a pr nightmare recently for the last of us. May I suggest you report on kickstarters that can come to sony consoles like these.

@sackninja We've already covered Soul Saga, and will have lots more on it next week: https://www.pushsquare.com/news/2013/06/psone_inspired_soul_saga_stretches_to_ps4_and_vita
Thanks for the suggestions!
oh no, where am I going to find 1-800 porn numbers now?
Rather than take them out they should have charged the number owners advertising fees. The game is rated M and 18 is it not? Maybe it was a bit embarrassing but I really never saw it as a big deal. If this was in a Mario kids game I might have been annoyed.
@rjejr They wouldn't pay for that advertising. It's also bad PR to do that advertising and the PR wouldn't be worth the money. It's somewhat amazing that the numbers were even found out though.
It Naughty Dog's fault for having hi-res textures that you can actually read.
@Ginkgo
Haha, yup!
They should fix the autosave bug, it's very annoying.
