Compile Heart is whipping out the hair straighteners and short skirts yet again, confirming that the original Hyperdimension Neptunia is set to strut its way onto the PlayStation Vita in Japan this October. The game – memorably dubbed Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1 – will feature the enhanced visuals and combat system from the recent PlayStation 3 sequel, Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory.
This is the third Neptunia title to be confirmed for Sony’s handheld system, with Hyperdimension Idol Neptunia PP and Hyper Goddess Faith Noir: Extreme God Black Heart (!!!) also in the pipeline. None of the aforementioned titles have been confirmed for a Western release just yet. To be honest, it doesn’t get much more niche than this, so we don’t recommend holding your breath.

We may see Rebirth here since it will be almost identical to the already translated PS3 game, like what happened with Atelier Totori and Meruru. Since they keep appearing in Europe it seems that I am not the only one that buys them!
@belmont Indeed you are not. Im playing mk2 at the moment and Ive got Victory on standby for when Ive finished mk2.
@belmont Yeah, you may be right. I think this are actually fairly popular — they wouldn't keep bringing them over if they weren't selling.
@MadchesterManc I have the Platinum trophy in both HN and HNmk2 and I play Victory these days. From the 3 games the first one was my favorite so I may get it again on Vita.
@get2sammyb This may be the point with Atelier and Neptunia. For some reason they are sort of popular. That is great for me since jrpgs are my favorite games. In the end Vita may be the ideal choice for these kind of games. PSP also had lot and 3DS games don't get released in Europe or arrive very late.
Please, please release on VITA localized!
I hope NISA will localize Re;Birth 1 and Idol PP, since I love HDN and well the first HDN was my favorite, because it's only game with RED
