Fresh from the success of the freemium version of Jetpack Joyride on the PlayStation Vita, it looks like Australian indie Halfbrick Studios is lining up another conversion of one of its smartphone favourites. This week’s European PlayStation Store update lists a slew of microtransactions for a handheld port of its produce poking hit, Fruit Ninja.
Furthermore, it turns out that the game was actually rated for Sony’s pocketable platform in Brazil earlier in the year. It’s unclear when the title will be ripe and ready to play, but we don’t reckon that you’ll have to wait too long before picking it off the PlayStation Store. The question is: have you already had your fill of fruit salad elsewhere? Let us know in the comments section below.

...You totally meant "Berries and cream," right?
The dlc is on the store - but no game? :/
@ZeD A lot of developers seem to be doing this. OMG HD Zombies and BreakQuest Evolution (Vita) both got their "microtransaction" packs before the main client. I don't know why they do things that way. Maybe to ensure that the packs are definitely available at launch?
@get2sammyb Maybe but that's one heck of a tease! I love fruit ninja on my iOS
@ZeD I've got to admit that I'm shamefully excited for this, too. I hope it has Trophies.
@get2sammyb There is no shame in slicing fruit!!
About damn time, this is a perfect fit for Vita.
Wow, the Vita hasn't had Fruit Ninja yet? No wonder everybody keeps saying it doesn't have any games. I thought Fruit Ninja was as ubiquitous as Netflix.
