In an announcement that would make Captain Qwark cry, legendary writer TJ Fixman has confirmed that he’s set to depart Insomniac Games. The voice behind seven of the Ratchet & Clank titles has been lured away from game development by his screenwriter ambitions – but insists that he’ll continue to play a key role in Sony’s series as the impending movie powers through production.
“As a producer and writer on the movie, I will still be helping to shepherd Ratchet & Clank into the feature world,” he wrote in a heartfelt blog post. “I’ve also made sure that the North Carolina studio has everything that they need to finish Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus.”
We’d always hoped that Insomniac Games would be working on a full PlayStation 4 intergalactic adventure to accompany the upcoming Ratchet & Clank movie, but we suppose that that’s looking less likely now. Still, we wish the very best to Fixman and his future endeavours – he’s really done the franchise justice over the past seven years.

Are you proud of that title?
Pictured something else entirely
Well, looks like the end of the road for this series after Into the Nexus. And with it no reason to give a damn about Insomniac anymore (that company has become MS' b*tch).
Would have been much more exciting if he left in a fit of naked rage.
So he wrote everything past UYA?
Ehh... they can always get the original writer back.
I hope Into the Nexus is amazing. It looks amazing already in Pre-alpha state.

Why? Because a writer left? Hardly seems like a reason to end a series...
