We know that we’ve already posted a video of DriveClub’s updated GamesCom 2013 build, but this footage is even better. Not only is the driver an absolute machine, but the graphics look utterly unbelievable. If you had any doubts about the jump in visual fidelity on new hardware, watch how the dashboard reflections fade across the windscreen as light passes through the trees on the first bend. Mmm.

WOW...
Excuse me, while I go take a cold shower.
I hope ps4 games for psplus could be bought just like ps3 nowadays. I will get ps4 next year I guess
Nice! I wish I knew the specifics of what the PS+ version included, I originally planned to pick up the three first party games on launch day, but since they announced this as a PS+ game I switched my preorders to bf4.
She better have gotten the "crazy speed" bonus, lol. I'm very interested to know how arcadey the controls are. Looked more like Forza than GT on those turns, but maybe that Tokyo drifter is just too cool for me
@lvnlavitaloca You get all of the game — modes, features, online — but not all of the cars or tracks. I assume you'll probably get a car from each class, and maybe two or three tracks. You'll be able to buy the extra content a la carte, or via a full "upgrade" pack.
@charlesnarles It's somewhere inbetween simulation and arcade. Feels a little bit like PGR, if you played that on Xbox.
@get2sammyb I wonder what the price point for the upgrade will be. I am concerned that the inclusion of the game with PS+ will hurt its sales #'s and make the game look like a commercial flop. November can't come soon enough!
@get2sammyb Do you have any information how much the game will cost on Blu-Ray? I'm guessing the same price as other games right?
Drive Club is looking really good, all i want now is for it to run 60FPS which i think they can do.
@Clamedeus It'll be the same price as other retail releases, I imagine.
@Clamedeus It's listed on Amazon and other retailers at the same price as other first party titles (the Blu-Ray version).
@Reverend_Skeeve @get2sammyb Ok cool.
And concerning the video: wow. Really looks good. I found that with next gen, it's often the little things that make the games look awesome...and that everything looks good. With current gen, there was often one or two parts of the graphics that looked good (lighting, models), but other parts didn't hold up to the rest of the quality. With next gen it seems so far that every little part of the graphics is on par with the other parts. Crisp textures, high polygon count, stellar lighting, etc. There's nothing that "falls out of the picture" and breaks the immersion, it's just all so very...round and consistent. Don't know how to put it better.
@Clamedeus You're welcome!
@lvnlavitaloca They've said the PS+ version is the full experience only without all the cars.
@longshot28 That would be awesome! I am more concerned about tracks, I honestly don't ever use all the cars, I grab a couple favorites and stick with them!

This. Looks. So. Awesome.
Here's an even better video, it's off screen but it's very clear and the detail looks amazing. Their channel on youtube also has a couple more driveclub vids so enjoy!

@OrbitScant Thanks for the link!
@get2sammyb It's amazing how much this has progressed since E3. It gives me hope that they will achieve 60 fps with this but I'm not sure that it needs to. It has a good sense of speed about it now and looks really smooth. But I suppose some people will want the magic 60 figure just to have a bullet point on the box.
@OrbitScant Actually, I want the game to run at 60fps because especially racing games just are running smoother and more fluid at that frame rate, hence offering a better experience. I couldn't care less about some pr-effect of 60fps on the box or as something to brag about.
But the game looks awesome anyway, so if they manage to lock the frame rate at 30fps, we should be good for starters. Besides, the developer stated that they'll keep updating and tweaking the game post launch, so maybe there's a chance they'll also update it to 60fps later if they don't manage to hit that spot at first.
@Reverend_Skeeve The problem is that when you go on other gaming sites you get a lot of Msoft fans saying "it's not 60fps PS4 sux" kind of thing. Stupid really, especially when you consider that this game has a lot more going on. I guess the marketing departments need 60fps more than we do because this already looks awesome. That's why I prefer this site now, it's a lot more civilized.
@OrbitScant Indeed...fanboys, you said it. I guess they need something to sweet-talk their console. And I could see why picking on Driveclub is easy, when Forza 5 (which also looks gorgeous) runs at 60fps. Of course 60fps is often nicer than 30, so I can see why the pr guys would be all over this.
But let 'em talk...fanboys and system wars between different hardware is almost as old as video gaming itself. Driveclub looks amazing and even like a game where I may enjoy the social features, a thing I normally don't care that much about and I'm sure I'll enjoy it no less because it "just" runs in 30fps.
And indeed...this is what I like most about Pushsquare...the people here are very civilized, hardly ever get personal in a discussion and manage to maintain an informed, diverse and mature discussion, even about topics that they may disagree about.
@Reverend_Skeeve Oh I know what you mean about fanboys.
This game is the reason why I chose to get the PS4 and sadly sold my Wii U and I wanted to ask a question about the game. Is it going to be a organised street racing or a track based game as well I wanted to know would there be any Japanese based tuner cars because those are my best types of cars and can you tune your own cars besides the clubs?
@OrbitScant Fun part is driveclub has dynamic lightning which forza 5 has not. Thats why it all look so fake and shinny:D Dont you love a fanboy war:) Yesterday i want to my favorite gameshop and 2 other gameshops ( In Holland) Guess what ps4 sold out everywhere... Xbox one at every store got "some" pre orders.
