Ever since we infiltrated the tanker in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, we’ve loved it when it rains in games. Be it a sudden sprinkling in Hot Shots Golf, or a torrential downpour in MotorStorm: Apocalypse, few atmospheric events can send a shiver down your spine better than a good tropical storm.
Japan Studio’s upcoming, er, Rain is based upon a pretty solid premise, then. As detailed in the behind-the-scenes video below, the game – which sees you assume the role of an invisible child in a waterlogged world – aims to convey the sensation of loneliness. Both the audio and art are absolutely exquisite, so we’re desperate to dip our toes into the title later this year.

Japan Studio is on fire.
@Sony_70 They should be fine, there's plenty of Rain.
Sony's continued support of diverse game experiences, is the reason why I will continue to own Playstation.
Yes, I'm very excited about this title. Hooray for cool gaming experiences!
Rain makes me fall asleep. Soft Piano music will make me fall asleep as well. This is a day one buy for me!
Looks pretty interesting
I've been eager to play this since I saw the first trailer. Looks great and seems to have an interesting gameplay mechanic.
