Open Me, Sony’s wacky augmented reality co-operative puzzle game, is set to think outside of the box on the PlayStation Vita this week. Just like Fruit Ninja, the title was listed as part of the PlayStation Blog’s weekly release schedule, confirming a North American launch. There’s no word on a European date just yet, but we suspect that that will be unlocked over the coming days.
The title itself sees you working alone or in pairs to open a sequence of tricky cubes. If you’ve ever had fun fiddling with a combination lock, then you’ll probably get a kick out of this ingenious experience. Just in case you’re still confused, though, check out the trailer embedded below. And, as always, don’t forget to tell us if you’re planning to, er, unbox this in the comments section.

Day one.
looks intrigueing. Ive yet to try any of Sonys AR offerings on the Vita yet. Although, Im sat in the office at work n Im seriously considering printing off some AR sheets n giving the Tabletop Soccer a try. My boss is out for lunch so Ive got about an hour id say lol Good to see Sony still pushing AR somewhat
Will have to check this out.
Ad hoc play would be so neat for a game like this...
Who knew opening boxes could be so intense.
Not a fan of AR...and this looks like yet another example of a game that could've worked perfectly fine without that particular gimmick. I really wish developers wouldn't make interesting concepts and attach them to problematic hardware so I can't even play them. :/
They need to just update Welcome Park to include some good AR games. The best AR games the Vita has to offer are Little Deviants and Reality Fighters, and I hear the former is not so great. The 3DS's included games played a big role in my decision to buy a 3DS. I loved using them on planes when I flew out on vacation. People used to look over my shoulder, they thought it was so cool. But my Vita's AR cards collect dust.
