Knack’s subwoofer shaking speech hasn’t exactly sold us on the character in the West, but he sounds much more natural in this Japanese trailer for the PlayStation 4 exclusive. The clip goes heavy on the game’s cinematic sequences, and continues to look more and more appealing the closer that it gets to release. Let’s hope that there’s a language option in the final version so that we don’t have to suffer through the awful Barry White impersonating iteration of the titular hero.

Here we go again with that subs vs Dubs BS. "Sounds more natural in the Japanese voices". What does that even mean? I have no idea what Knack you've been watching. And why would you make an entire article dedicated to trashing a voice actor's work? This article seems very pointless, a waste of space, and sounds pretentious. If you wanna hear Knack's Japanese voice so bad, then import the Japanese version . For goodness sake...
Everything is better in japanese, but he's still too self-assured and cocky. I was hopeing for japanese pop star musician girl but got Gen X Nicholas Tse instead. Still a p star singer so I guess that's something.

Accurate description of your own post.
@rjejr If you're not gonna intelligently discuss the article with me, then why reply?
Thank you.
@staticdash22 @rjejr Now, now - sorry you didn't like the post, Static.
Sorry sammy.
Yeeeeah, the tone of his Japanese voice suits him better from what I've seen, although I do think Knack's English voice might give him a little more of a unique personality.
@staticdash22 To be fair, this isn't about dubs vs subs. This is about the character himself and whether a particular voice suits him over another. In Sammy's own opinion, the deep voice isn't too fitting, and he's expressing it through humor in his own article. If you like the deep voice then good, if you don't then also good. Sometimes certain voices just do not seem to fit a character to some people.
I can't stand to hear Goku's (DBZ) voice in Japanese, but I also felt that the characters of Star Ocean 4 and Enchanted Arms sounded much better in their native tongue. If the protagonist of the new Assassin's Creed sounds like Mickey Mouse, I'm sure many people would want to change the language setting to one that sounds more like how he looks. It's all subjective.
@Cloud7794 lol its all good man. I just get slightly annoyed when I see all of the subs vs dub wars. Man, just enjoy what you like. But I don't think people should go out of their way to trash voice actors that spend hours on end recording.I do think knack sounds more natural in Japanese, because his character archetype is made by studio japan.
Anyway, my bad if I caused a ruckus. It's just a pet peeve when I hear this "I can't stand this awful dub, or voice impersonation". Man, chill lol
@rjejr "Everything is better in japanese"
If you really believe that, then try watching Dragonball Z and the inFAMOUS Second Son trailer in Japanese. They'll both prove your statement to be false.
@Lelouch - Google let me down on the 2nd Son search but that guy is pretty caucasion so I'll take your word for it.
DBZ is as much comedy as action and I can't imagine Krillin in japanese so i see your point, Though honestly I don't like the orange box english voices, they seem off compared to what I remember back on tv in the 90's, especially Vegeta. And somehow the "Ka-Me-Ha-Me-Ha" became the "kameaweya".
In the future I'll include an * for all my blanket statements to allow for exceptions.
