If your stomach is still feeling a little unsettled after the curious tasting curry that you gobbled last night, then you may want to save this brand new The Evil Within trailer until your tummy’s stopped performing somersaults. The footage – released to coincide with the Tokyo Game Show this week – includes a couple of minutes of gameplay from Shinji Mikami’s upcoming opus, and doesn’t exactly tread lightly with the old fake blood.
We actually got to see this sequence in full a little while back, and you can read our repulsive impressions through here. The game’s set to scare you silly next year on both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. Given the pedigree behind the release, we reckon that this is one that you should absolutely keep your eye on – assuming that you can handle the explicit scenes of power tool torture, of course.

Hopefully this will be creepy and not just another action game with horror influenses.
But horror games seams to have been better lately.
looks like resident evil and dead space mash up
I remember playing RE 1&2 as a kid and jumping at parts. Silent hill 2 was another good horror game that also had me losing sleep. I really hope this game brings the old horror genre back to gaming.
In terms of horror, this blows The Last of Us out of the water - at least from what I saw in this trailer. I'm definitely going to be getting this, but I'll wait for the PS4 version.
@Lelouch Yeah this looks like a great horror game. I don't think The Last of Us was targeting horror. It was more of a survival game than a horror game.
Looks well done from what I can see.
@Big_Gamer I wouldn't be too worried...Shinji Mikami stated in various interviews that his intention is to make a "real" horror game again, since, in his example, Resident Evil moved more and more away from the horror atmosphere of the first part and more and more towards action.
On topic: This looks awesome! And I love the atmosphere.
"What's happening out there?!"
"Uh...unknown...checking."
"What do you mean, unknown?"
"Uh...please hurry!"
That alone gave me goosebumps.
