Sony originally indicated that it intended to sell its recently announced PlayStation 4 Mega Bundle for the same price as the Xbox One, but that didn’t quite pad out in the end. Most retailers are currently carrying the UK package for around £449.99, which is a little more expensive than the Xbox One’s default £429.99 option. Leave it to Amazon, though, to significantly cut the cost.
Despite originally plumping up for the same price as everyone else, the online outlet has since reduced the figure of the meaty collection to the same sum as Microsoft’s machine, making the Japanese giant’s console look incredibly cost-effective in comparison. For those out of the loop, the Mega Bundle consists of a PS4 system, two DualShock 4 controllers, a PlayStation Eye, and a copy of Killzone: Shadow Fall.
We suppose that the only downside is that you’ll need to have pre-ordered pretty early to even stand a chance of snagging one of the cheap and cheerful packages. Amazon is currently in the process of contacting those eligible to upgrade, with emails being distributed to lucky customers as we type. Did you get one yet? @Kenshin0104 Absolutely unbelievable deal. For a brand new console, it's insane.
Why oh why isn't this in the US? Someone bug Sony about that.
Such a good deal! Pretty glad I pre ordered with Amazon!
@Squiggle55 Nobody wants our currency, I gather. I blame the republicans.

@Squiggle55 Because you guys get it for 400 Dollar or 450 dollar we pay the equivelent of 500 dollars or more.
I'll be snagging one of these hopefully, got my email a few days ago when it was still £450 and ticked this bundle so this is great news if I do get it
@charlesnarles Hey now, you can't blame us Republicans for the USA's problems, who do you think is in office right now anyways . On-topic though, it's the fight for UK that is causing them to go all-out. America is most likely MS, Japan is definitely Sony's, but Microsoft made a really big move in Europe and now Sony needs to counterattack.
I got this when it was £449, so this is a nice surprise (: provided Amazon sticks to it's "pay the lowest price" diddly!
