Watch Dogs isn’t the only title packing up its belongings for a little longer than expected. Ubisoft has announced that its next generation racer The Crew will also be staying stationary for the foreseeable future, with the PlayStation 4 release not set to arrive until the second quarter of Fiscal Year 2015. It had originally been pegged as an early 2014 game, but now it won’t launch until anywhere between July 2014 and September 2014.
"Our long term goal is to win the next generation," said CEO Yves Guillemot in a press release deployed moments ago. “The tough decisions that we are taking today to fully realise the major potential of our new creations have an impact on our short-term performance. We are convinced that, longer term, they will prove to be the right decisions both in terms of satisfaction for our fans and in terms of value creation for our shareholders.”
We suppose that it’s a good thing that Ubisoft is giving its products the time to mature rather than rushing them out, but all of these delays are going to leave some serious gaps in the next generation release schedule. We’re also not looking forward to the dozens of trailers that we’re inevitably going to get bombarded with between now and launch. Sigh.

Now this I getti g Rediculous. It was all hype from the start. They knew these games woul never be ready in time, they just pretended they would be to get people hyped for next gen and preorder consoles.
I guess we should have known better. We let excitement overpower logic. We should have know from the the start that ubisoft would never release a new AC game AND their new ip in the same quarter let alone the same month. It would be like like naughty dogg dogg releasing The Last of Us and Uncharted 3 at the same time. It just wouldn't make sense.
😭🔫
Honestly, Drive Club seemed far superior anyway. Couldn't care less about this delay. The Watch_Dogs one bothers me in the sense that Ubi and Sony promoted it so heavily and even went as far as creating bundles that people may now get screwed over on. But this game? I'll take a racer from Evolution Studios any day over this.
@Gamer83 You took the words out of my mouth I said the same thing too. DriveClub had this game beat in every department except open world driving.

I don't think those 2 are directly comparable. Whereas TheCrew seems to be a mix of Burnout Paradise and Test Drive Unlimited and DriveClub looks like a Forza Horizon Clone to me. Not saying the one or the other doesn't have a right to exist, but personally I'd take TheCrew over DriveClub any day!
Some one need to get Ubi Soft back on track. What is with them announcing release dates and than changing them? It seems that since Rayman Legends this has been some sort of shtick with them.

Well, Watch_Dogs did look like a @$$ on PS4 so as long as the delay actually is used to improve the quality of the game significantly I can give Ubi a pass on that one. You are right though, the delays have been ridiculous and this is clearly a company that none of the big 3 should ever consider working close with again. Nintendo counted on Ubi to deliver Rayman for them and Ubi took their money and flipped 'em the bird. Sony was counting on it for Watch_Dogs, again, took the money, flipped the bird. If I were a higher up at one of those two companies I'd be outraged with the despicable slime running Ubisoft. People can say what they want about EA and Activision, lord knows I have many problems with both companies, but each has honored its contracts when Sony or MS signs one of the two up for something.
