Weirdness: There Are Ecstatic Rabbit Statues in This PS Vita Commercial

We never, ever tire of Japanese commercials. Last year, Sony opted to promote the crystal white iteration of the PlayStation Vita by releasing a video of local celebrity Shigeru Matsuzaki singing about it – and now it’s followed up with a spot showing statues playing games such as Final Fantasy X HD Remaster, God Eater 2, and more.

The very best scene, however, comes when a couple of stone rabbits scream in excitement over the redesigned handheld’s new-look slim line design. The wacky advertisement doesn’t seem like it would move many consoles, but it appears to have done the trick: the Japanese giant flogged a whopping 60,000 handhelds in its home nation last week. That doesn’t make the video any less weird, though.
