You can forget your customised PlayStation 4 controllers – this ace crystal DualShock 3 is taking us back to a time when everything from Tamagotchis to floppy disks shipped in see-through shells. Coupled with today’s strange PocketStation trailer, it’s clear that SCEJ is feeling a spot of 90s nostalgia – and it’s hoping to counter that with the release of this peripheral on 19th December in Japan.
The input device will set local players back ¥5,500 ($55), and will be compatible with the PlayStation 3 and the upcoming PS Vita TV. With the manufacturer’s next generation system right around the corner, we’re probably going to pass on importing one of these – but it does further the rule that all electronics look better in transparent plastic.

"clearly" a ps4 version is called for ,
Aw, sweet. I said I wanted this yesterday lol
@LDXD The DualShock 3? I've never had an issue with one. The build quality is great, in my opinion.
Okay, now I want one of these and a white one. Any chance this will come west?
@get2sammyb @LDXD it's true. The quality is good, but we definitely have an insulation issue. BF3 is impossible, and you jump out of cars a lot in gta5. It's a really big problem which only seems to effect the later batches of ds3s, not the first. My oldest one is still fine, but my newer red one is garbage.
Where can I pre-order this baby? Tell me! Anywhere that's not Play-Asia.
