High as a kite

Sucker Punch’s next generation open world opus is set to sizzle as part of Sony’s big PlayStation 4 launch livestream this evening – but that’s not stopped one YouTube user from sending out some superhero smoke signals a little early. Arekkz Gaming has uploaded a few minutes of gameplay footage from the impending exclusive, showing protagonist Delsin Rowe taking out some DUP grunts with his smouldering powers.

To be fair, the person using the DualShock 4 isn’t the most imaginative, opting to sprint around a rain slicked rendition of Seattle zapping troops with the exact same moves – but it should give you a better idea of what the game looks like. The audio design is especially impressive, and we also like the implementation of the touchpad when using hand scanners at security gates. Expect a release date for this to be announced this evening – as well at that leaked bundle to be officially confirmed.
