Unlike a certain other console manufacturer, Sony hasn’t made a big song and dance out of the PlayStation 4’s voice controls. That’s partly because the functionality is quite limited compared to the Xbox One – but it still works really well. In order to initiate a command, all you need to do is say ‘PlayStation’. From there you can browse through your games, switch users, take screenshots, and even turn off the console if you like.
However, as already alluded, while it offers a surprisingly swift way to browse the console, the voice commands are limited to the most basic of system functions at the time of writing. You can’t turn on the device with your voice, for example, or scroll through the machine's chunky settings screen. Still, this is something that we expect to improve over time – and the best part is that you don’t even need to buy the PlayStation Camera to take advantage of the feature, as it will work with the bundled headset. As it should, really.

That's pretty cool that it works with the headset and something I didn't know until now. I'm not to fond of yelling at the console, but being able to control it with a headset seems pretty natural and a very underrated feature seeing as how PS4 also is Bluetooth enabled.
Usually, I'll just turn it off with voice commands so that I don't have to find the controller. My voice is pretty well picked up by mics and these types of recognition systems, so it works great for me MOST of the time.
I really like the voice commands. It's pretty cool walking in the room and booting up a game by saying it. Sometimes it takes a couple times to get it to go into standby mode but that's the only one that gives me trouble.
I always use the voice commands as I'm heading out to go somewhere. I kinda love this feature so I can use my hands to get ready instead of holding down the PS button and doing it that way.
I haven't tried it yet but this is certainly an awesome feature. Best of all Sony is not forcing you to buy an addition piece of equipment just to use this. Bravo Sony, bravo.
