Behind closed doors

We’re not sure that we can handle the hype anymore. GameTrailers TV host Geoff Keighley hopped onto Twitter yesterday to confirm that this week’s PlayStation 4 launch livestream will play host to the first footage from The Last of Us’ hotly anticipated single player expansion – and now he’s confirmed that the 60-minute broadcast will include a look behind-the-scenes at Sony’s top-secret new research and development lab. “See where they’re taking PS4 next,” the Canadian journalist teased.

Given the recent slew of rumours regarding a hypothetical headset for the next generation console, we suppose that it’s a possibility that it could pop up during the show. Previous speculation suggested that the firm wanted to keep the accessory under wraps until after the system’s launch, however, so we’re not sure whether it makes sense to reveal it right on the eve of the device’s release. Other possibilities include a glimpse at Gaikai, which we know is poised to deploy early next year in North America.

The livestream itself is set to start at 23:00PM ET on 14th November in North America, and 04:00AM GMT the next day in the UK. What do you personally hope that Keighley's hinting at? Let us know in the comments section below.
