After eight long years, the dust has been blown off the Deception franchise. Such is the span of time since the previous entry, that many – including ourselves – were left puzzled by the announcement of Deception IV: Blood Ties. However, you may have heard of niche PlayStation 2 title Trapt, which is the only game in the series to not inherit its family name. Nevertheless, the brand sees you trying to escape from enemy pursuers seeking to claim your life. However, instead of hiding under a box, you'll be aiming to stop your adversaries dead in their tracks – quite literally.
This latest entry for the PlayStation 3 and Vita sees you using a full arsenal of sadistic and bizarre traps to ensnare your enemies. The more adventurous and brutal you are with your kills, the more rewards that you'll accrue. You'll have a few weeks to design your ultimate trap, too, as Tecmo Koei has announced that the title's due out on 25th March in North America and 28th March in Europe. To give you a taste of what lies ahead, check out the gruesome screenshots and trailer below. Has this hidden surprise lured you in? Share your most creative schemes in the comments section.
