We wrapped up our Game of the Year countdown earlier this week, announcing that Naughty Dog’s magnificent post-apocalyptic escapade The Last of Us had taken our overall Gold Trophy. This was the culmination of several days behind-the-scenes planning, as we worked through our review backlog to prepare a shortlist of contenders and held a massive internal vote across our entire network of 21 contributors.
Of course, it would be a real oversight on our part if we didn't give you a chance to join the discussion. After all, you live and breathe PlayStation just as much as we do, and you deserve the chance to talk about your favourites from 2013, too. That’s why we’re going to keep our celebrations running just a little longer, as we poll you on your most beloved experiences on a Sony system over the past 12 months.
We want to know which game you think deserves the overall gong, as well as if you had any major disappointments or guilty pleasures. You’ll find the exact same ballot that our team used below, so make sure that you register your vote. The shortlist was derived from titles that received a Push Square review and had a European release at some point in 2013. Don’t worry if you don’t see your personal pick, though, as there’s an ‘Other’ option that will allow you to add that in.
So, what’s it to be? Do you agree that Joel and Ellie’s heartrending excursion was the best PlayStation game of 2013, or are you partial to the police evading antics of Grand Theft Auto V? Perhaps you preferred Lara Croft’s holiday from Hell, or even acquired most of your gaming pleasure from Diablo III? You only get one vote, so make it count.

Hard to pick between The Last of Us and GTA, also loved Tomb Raider, Hotline Miami, Tearaway and Guacamelee
Ni No Kuni for me. It's Studio Ghibli for crying out loud. It would be my game of most years.
Anyone following the stuff I do at Otaku Gamers will know my choice from the post I did a few days ago - Beyond: Two Souls Looking forward to seeing what Quantic Dreams has in store for us
Favorite games are The Last of Us, followed closely by Puppeteer. I guess GTA would come next, but I still need to play more of Tomb Raider before I can truly decide.
GTA V but I also really like The Last of Us, Assassin's Creed IV, Bioshock Infinite, Tomb Raider, Injustice, Rayman Legends, Need For Speed Rivals, Killzone Shadow Fall and Mercenary, Batman Arkham Origins and Blackgate.
Persona 4 Golden. Vote for it or be banned. (Disclaimer: not really)
Got to say, my favorites are both Tearaway (voted) and Rayman Legends.
Personaaaaa! Best game ever, never mind 2013!
@ShogunRok P4G may have come out in 2012 in the States but I didn't play it until 2013. That's why I voted for it. I've played it three times this year! Easy winner for me
@Cowboysfan-22 @kaisersalsek Yes! YESSS!
Predictably TLOU. It was the only one that had me up late at night pacing the floor because I needed to talk to someone about the ending.
Tomb Raider, AC4, GTA5 and Beyond would all get honorary mentions.
Puppeteer has such a great atmosphere and art style!
Killzone Mercenary for me. That game took me completely by surprise and iv played it just about everyday with my friends since launch.
Pretty awesome spread of votes so far. Pleased to see so much love for Beyond: Two Souls - I think that game's heavily under-rated.
The Last Of Us for me. Beyond is good, but I'm still working through it.
Tearaway for me. The paper engine really make me roll over papers looking for the sound used in the game. It's addictive sound effects
@get2sammyb Good to hear some love for Beyond from you guys. Not really hear anything about it on here since your review so I thought you'd brushed it under the rug pronto lol I started my second playthrough the other day, thought I'd leave it a while first, and it's still just as gripping as the first time for me
I enjoyed Beyond and Tomb Raider alot but The Last of Us (obviously) get's my vote.
I'm looking forward to trying BioShock Infinite when it hit's US PS+. I just started the series this week. It took me awhile to get in to the first one but I'm really enjoying it now.
Bioshock Infinite and AC4 were my favorite between the two though, BI was chosen.
Nice. I was thinking The Last of Us as soon as I saw the title of the article. For me it hit on all the things I like about gaming... suspense, excitement, action strategy, stealth, lovable characters, surprises, good voice acting, cinematic, third person, good story, good controls, really good graphics, not too long or short, but leaves me wanting to play more, and learn more background about the characters. Ok I'm done.
Persona 4 has the best replay value from what's on the list. Diablo 3, GTA5 and GT6 are still some of the best games I've ever played, though.
Re-post from "Game of the Year: Best PlayStation 3 Games of ..." I had a lot of fun over the summer with Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon... love that soundtrack ( https://soundcloud.com/powerglove ) and that 80's look as well as all the references. To add even after I beat it I still when back for much more laser gun fun. Remember Me was a game I enjoyed nothing like taking down mega-corporations it had that memory remixing puzzle segments and the low health screen glitching and the music that where nice but on the downside the combat was repetitive and frustrating at times but over all I liked it. GT6 came out so late in the year it is hard for me to think of as a grate game of '13.

This...
@MadchesterManc It was my third favourite of 2013, and it actually got quite a lot of votes. Fell behind GTA5, BioShock, and TLoU in our poll, but still did really well. Seems to have been much better received by those that played it than the press - which is almost the opposite to Heavy Rain.
TLOU,persona 4 golden, beyond two souls my top 3 for 2013...hope to see a naughty game in my top 3 for 2014
Persona 4 Golden without a shadow of a doubt. I only got it for Christmas late 2013 and within a week of playing it it is my Game of the Year without any hesitation! (I should qualify that I'm not a big RPG player normally and that I haven't gotten round to playing The Last of Us yet)
My PS3 disc drive died in the middle of The Last of Us, but I was able to play it long enough to know that it was the best game I played this year, followed by Hotline Miami and Guacamele.
Persona 4 Golden for me. It released over here on 2012 but I got it and played it on 2013 so it got my vote. It's the best game I played last year across all systems and I played a lot of games. So glad to see people enjoying it.
I started my second playtrough on January 1st so that the game would lead to another great year in gaming!
Well most of those games I couldn't vote for since technically I played them on the 360, so I voted for Resogun. Hands down my favorite PS4 game to date.
Since I just had a PS3 for a few month, borrowed from a friend, and thus had no opportunity to play either GTA V or TloU, I have to go with Resogun...again. Such awesome! Keeps me coming back again and again...it's been a long time since I felt motivated to try again and again for a perfect run in a game and keep trying, despite the game handing me my youknowwhat. That I can grab a video of said run, should I succeed, is just the icing on the cake.
@Tasuki Agreed, sir!
The Last of Us by far....two more trophies before I get that platinum.
Hotline Miami without a question (seems I'm the only voter for it). Provided one thing most of the games beating it in the poll didn't; fun. In a year dominated with the 'big' games being more events and spectacles than actual great games, Hotline Miami was a breath of fresh air.
Too bad most people ignore Beyond:Two Souls. This was technically the best looking game of them all and it had the gameplay to match. A unique experience, especially if you play it with a friend. That and Terraway.
Best game of 2013 has to be ths last of us! Truly incredible what naughty dog can do and I cant wait to see what they can do with ps4!
