Forget about Ubisoft’s promise of a next-gen Tetris for the PlayStation 4, as there’s only one puzzler that you’re going to want to splash out on this year. Puyo Puyo Tetris promises a chaotic fusion of gaming’s greatest block busting brands, leaving you combining colours and scoring lines in a vibrant experience more hyperactive than a group of infants high on bubblegum soda.
The video embedded below – which shows off the game’s bonkers four-player mode – is scored by more excitable screams than those audible outside Hugh Hefner’s funhouse. We’re not entirely sure what’s going on in the clip, but it seems that points are being scored on a frequent basis. There’s no word on a Western release for this just yet, but it’s due out in Japan on the PlayStation 3 and Vita next month. Just like The Offspring, we want it bad.

This is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen. I love it!
@k_andersen I just looked at import prices - £40. Too much, but I'm still tempted. #WhatsWrongWithMe?
@get2sammyb Urgh. That's like $80 Australian. That's too many dollars Sammy, too many. Yet I can't stop myself from re-watching that trailer again and again......
@get2sammyb Just give in and get it like I will. Why should I bother saving for a wedding when I could play Puyo Puyo Tetris? Her in doors will understand...
LOLno @ title
Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney would like a word with you, @get2sammyb
This could only be cooler if it was Tetris Columns!
