Some of our predictions for the PlayStation 4 in 2014 may have been a little bit offbeat, but one common theme throughout our article revolved around the very real possibility of Uncharted PS4 releasing later this year for Sony’s new super machine. Unfortunately, developer Naughty Dog has hinted that this may not be the case, writing on the PlayStation Blog that it’s “doubtful” that the sequel will deploy this side of 2015.
Community strategist Eric Monacelli was responding to an excited question from a fan regarding the recently announced release and a Game of the Year edition of The Last of Us, both of which he seemed to rule out for at least the next twelve months. Of course, with the Japanese giant keeping much of its content under wraps right now, there’s a good chance that the spokesperson may have been playing his poker face. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Id rather have a well rounded 2015 release than a rushed 2014 release to fill some kind of quota, but hey, thats just me. No doubt some around these parts will be agitated at hearing such news about the next Uncharted
@MadchesterManc yeah, all those people with 'no game's. Haha
I never really expected it to. Uncharted games are massive, and I wouldn't want it to be rushed.
That's it, I'm selling my PS4 and getting a Wii U. All these delays do my head in. Screw you, Sony!!!!111!!1!!1!!
That stinks, they've already had 3 years by the end 2014 and 14, I was really hoping for this to come out this. I really don't want this to come out summer 2015.
@Jaz007 The Last of Us didn't develop itself...
@KALofKRYPTON Naughty Dog has two development teams though, I assumed only one of them worked on the Last of Us.
@Jaz007
No idea how big the teams are. A release like TLOU though must be incredibly resource heavy, much like Uncharted.
Better have something else planned then, Halo will be out this year and PS4 does need something to compete from a potential system selling perspective, The Order doesn't cut it.
@Gamer83 I disagree also I think Halo 5 will get delayd
@DaftPlayStation
The developers will have had two years by the time Nov. rolls around, Halo will be out this year and there wil likely be a price drop as well to capitalize on the momentum the system will build up from Titanfall, Quantum Break and Sunset Overdrive.
@Gamer83 it would seem that there was a misunderstanding looks like Uncharted 4 may still come out this year hopefully http://www.PlayStationLifeStyle.net/2014/01/24/Naughty-dogs-monacelli-
Yeah, Monacelli was replying to something about UC4 easter eggs.
As much as i love the uncharted games, im not dying for a new tbh. But then ill see gameplay and squeal
To be fair to Uncharted, did they annouce a 2014 release after the reveal trailer?
And I don't expect Sony to drop anything on time anymore . Unless they are sending a title out to die.Then it sticks to that release date
@KAPADO No they did not announce a release date
@KAPADO it was a misunderstanding http://www.PlayStationLifeStyle.net/2014/01/24/Naughty-dogs-monacelli
@Paranoimia it was a misunderstanding plus they never gave out a release date so com down http://www.PlayStationLifeStyle.net/2014/01/24/Naughty-dogs-monacelli
@DaftPlayStation Seeing as it apparently wasn't clear enough...

@Paranoimia lol ok
@DaftPlayStation
Unfortunately I bet chances are good Uncharted is 2015 and given the way Sony has usually gone about releasing those games, it'll be late 2015. The thing with ND is eventhough it has two teams now, the games those teams make are huge undertakings. We're not talking cut and paste racing games or FPS. There's no doubt if the people at 343 are competent (and they are), that Halo will be out this year, there is no reason in the world why it shouldn't be. Uncharted 4 on the other hand? With the way ND operates it won't be easy. Given all the work that went into The Last of Us and the story DLC for that game, wouldn't shock me at all if they haven't had time to get much done on Uncharted 4. Sony sacrificed PS4's first year to make PS3's latter years great, same as it did with PS3 and PS2 back in 2006. On one hand, it's good that PS3 owners are still getting stuff to play but it's bad for trying to keep up with the competition. MS will start pulling away easily in the next few months and later this year with the games it has lined up compared to literally nothing from Sony first party outside of inFamous. It seems like Sony did everything right to lead into the PS4 launch and had zero plan for afterwards. Stuff like this is why MS and Nintendo are in good financial position and Sony is not.
"Not likely" equates to "Definitely not" when it comes to dev time. Especially for a game like this.
@Paranoimia - I'm guessing that was sarcasm. But on the off chance it wasn't or for anyone else thinking along those lines
Wii U 2014 release schedule:
Doney Kong Country Tropical Freeze Feb 21
......
......
......
Mario Kart 8 Q2, a date that it probably won't meet
.....
.....
.....
SSB "planned" for 2014 according to the official SSB website
....
....
Games that could come out this year: Bayonetta 2, maybe W_D, X is still probably a long way off, Dynasty Warriors Hyrule
Anything else the Wii U gets every other system gets such as a Lego game and Disney and Skylanders sequels.
PS4 may have to worry about X1 this year, but not Wii U.
@rjejr It was sarcasm, but not intended to be aimed at the Wii U, more at those who ***** and moan and say they're jumping ship every time news of a delay (real or rumoured) rears its head. I could just as easily have put Xbox One, Sega Saturn, or CD32 in there.
We havnt even seen the game yet. Naughty dog has been such a downer latley. I thought we were supposed to get good news after christmas lol
