Techland has released a new trailer showcasing its upcoming zombie survival game Dying Light. The title aims to explore a more harrowing undead epidemic, as its monstrous hordes are the result of a common disease like flu or pneumonia. You'll take control of an athletic protagonist from a first-person perspective, free-running Mirror's Edge-style away from hordes of the infected. Looks dead good, huh?

I loved Mirror's Edge and quite liked the first Dead Island so I'm intrigued by this. The quality of Techland's titles tends to vary very heavily, though, so I'm cautiously optimistic.
@get2sammyb I agree. But this is the type of game that will make me happy that I already have my next gen system if it turns out the way we hope. I could see myself getting lost in this game for hours
I've liked everything I've seen. I enjoyed dead island a fair amount. Never played mirrors edge. I'm hoping it handles plenty well and that I won't be punished for randomly running round town throwing zombies into the dirt and being a general thug.
Guess this trailer was all, that had to show
@get2sammyb I reckon this is definitely a step in the right direction when it comes to zombie games. The genre is slightly stagnant, but was revitalised with The Last of Us. Let's see if this was continue the trend.
Hopefully not as buggy as Dead Island, but I agree this does look better.
@RyoHazuki You should pick up Mirror's Edge if you can. Great title and cheap now too. Not perfect, but visually impressive and a lot of fun.
do zombies poop?
If they can make day z work on PC then a next gen port would be good? I definitely prefer the more survival in a desolate mess hole rather than all out non stop zombie smashing. I am legend or a 'book of eli/mad max' (with zombies) done well on ps4 would be awesome also.
Despite its MANY faults, dead island was strangely addictive. This looks like a real evolution on that front, and could be really good. Certainly interested and watching for more info. Have seen game-play videos before and the parkour looks pretty slick. The graphics while looking good could benefit from some AA though.
As a fan of the far from perfect yet more than merely fun Dead Island I am really looking forward to this game.
