A year ago, God of War: Ascension was released, and we thought that it was pretty good. It marked the first time that the series featured online multiplayer, with this new addition also boasting downloadable content. And to celebrate Kratos' latest adventure's anniversary, developer Sony Santa Monica is offering the aforementioned content for free.
Starting 2nd April, you'll have exactly one week to snag it all at no cost. This includes all multiplayer weapon and armour DLC. The online experience boosters will also be 50 per cent off, giving you the chance to level up quicker and for cheaper if you please. Now for possibly the coolest part of this celebration: you'll be able to play as 'The Marked One'. This will also reward you with a special cape, but you'll need to hit up the developer's official forum to claim the goodies. This is the only time that these extras will be made available, so you know what you need to do if you want them.
Unfortunately, this title didn't do as well as its predecessors, so this is a nice way of rewarding the fans that did support it. We know that not everyone was a fan of the game including online combat, but will having the DLC for free sway you to give it a chance – or are you already a fan of the multiplayer madness just looking for an excuse to reconnect with the release? Like always, let us know what you think in the comments section below.

So, is this US only?
I wasn't a big fan of the online aspect myself. It quickly found it's way onto eBay after I'd got the platinum.

"Azikira said:
It's also worth mentioning that -ALL- of the God of War: Ascension DLC is on sale right now, 90% of it being FREE." yesterday.
