Aside from Bit.Trip Presents: Runner 2 – Future Legend of Rhythm Alien, ridiculously long game names have fallen out of fashion a little. Still, indie developer Drinkbox Studios’ Mexican-themed Metroidvania was absolutely stuffed full of retro references, so it’s not especially surprising that the Canadian company’s opted to dub its PlayStation 4 re-release Guacamelee: Super Turbo Championship Edition.
Due out “soon” on Sony’s next-gen format, the ex-PlayStation 3 and Vita exclusive will be augmented with all of its previous expansion packs, as well as a couple of additional levels and boss battles. Furthermore, the title’s various playable characters will also receive a few new abilities, which can be glimpsed in the teaser trailer below. I'll buy this game again if it's not cross-guy! It was so good on Vita!
I haven't played it yet to begin with...so this sounds good to me.
@Stuffgamer1 Haha, I was the same. I bought it at launch and didn't touch it until about January. Fortunately, I can confirm that it's really good.
I've played guac briefly and its a really nice little game and pretty funny too actually but not my taste.
Great game, but won't buy it again. It's a great fit for Vita, not a game I'll play on a home console though.
I've been planning to pick this one up. It seems like a game that would be great to play on Vita, but if there's more content on the PS4 version I may have to get it instead.
