NIS America will pull the trigger on Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair on 2nd September in North America, an Atlus sales sheet has revealed. The popular Persona maker is helping to distribute the PlayStation Vita exclusive in North America, which was confirmed for the West earlier in the year following the success of its predecessor, Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc.
As with the first title, you’ll take on the role of a high-school student, caught up in the dastardly deathmatch of a two-tone teddy named Monokuma. The main difference this time is that the murder mystery will take place on a tropical island, ushering you away from the familiar hallways of Hope’s Peak Academy. Hey, if you’re going to meet your maker, you may as well do it in the sunshine.
According to the documentation, the title will feature all new minigames, allowing you to shoot down the lies of your fellow classmates in different ways. Pick up on the wrong piece of evidence, though, and you’ll be challenged to a one-on-one Rebuttal Showdown – think the Wild West but in a courtroom context. Yeah, not even a Phoenix Wright title is that exciting.
Just like the original, the release will feature both English and Japanese voice acting, allowing you to toggle between the cast that better suits your fancy. Are you ready to play this game of death? Air your evidence in the comments section below.

Anywhere near as good as the first and I'll be ecstatic.
Ain't NISA the publisher of Dangenronpa 2?
@artemisthemp They are yes. Atlus is distributing it. Distributor (Supplier to Stores) & Publisher (Preparing/Producing/Marketing etc Games For Sale).
The more Jap games for the Vita the better for me.
YES!
Yes yes yes! I am SO ready to be whisked away to a tropical island, even if that island does come with a side-order of murder.
