Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida may maintain one of the busiest Twitter profiles in the industry, but the affable executive occasionally finds time to play games. Despite his lifelong ties to the PlayStation brand, however, the straight talking suit is a big fan of all of the current consoles – including the Nintendo Wii U.
Alas, while the head of the Japanese giant’s first-party operations has heaped praise on the rival platform in the past, that’s not stopped the gaffer from being banned from the system’s MiiVerse social network twice. Speaking as part of a candid question and answer session with Marble Madness creator Mark Cerny, the luminary explained why.
“The first time was because I had my Twitter account in my profile and that's against the rules," he laughed. “The second time was because I wrote, 'I love PS'. You're not supposed to promote a commercial product in MiiVerse, so they correctly interpreted 'PS' as 'PlayStation’.” As astute reader rastamadeus pointed out a couple of years back, that message could have been referring to Paul Simon. After all, who doesn't love the soft rock star?

Ouch. I bet Nintendo and him are all friendly though. Funny how they thought he was spamming.
Well maybe they wait so much as waiting for a chance to ban him all the time?
That's too funny.
Hahahaha. That's just absolutely hilarious!
Yoshida's above this. This is no doubt the work of a troll.
You so silly, Yoshida.
How is declaring your love for two letters a promotion of a commercial product. More plain stupid.
The classic!
That's a little surprising, actually. Non-major offenses usually are given a warning from admin first, or the content is simply removed. In fact, my friend promoted his own website, and all they did was remove the link and send a message explaining the rules against doing so.
But they do moderate Miiverse thoroughly. And thus far, have kept it troll and spam free. Which is a feat in and of itself if you ask me.
@JaxonH
I'm pretty sure "yosp" ShuYoshida gave it away that he was trolling just as much as brand promoting. Being a second offense probably helped. It was the competition after all, not just a random website.
I wonder if it wasn't Shu Yoshida if they would have caught onto it as quickly, the president of Sony World-wide studios isn't exactly anonymous.
Haha nice read!!
Dam its as if Spenser was saying here 'I love xbox'.. so what? That sounds silly to ban him for that but we probably know half of the story. I do wish most sites would ban real trolls
Haha glad there's fun back in the gaming community! It's great to be a gamer! !
I've been banned from Miiverse loads of bloody times, for the most innocent of things no less. I get they're trying to change the whole world by forcing everyone to be nice when online, but sometimes it is a bit mental...
I promote PlayStation in my Miiverse account and haven't been banned yet.
Should probably fix that
@kensredemption I'm sure someone else wrote "I love PS" on Miiverse and Yoshida just took credit for it
This made my day
He would have been banned from posting on nintendo life for a lot less!
