In an effort to clear out my backlog, I’ve decided that I need to stop committing myself to one game at a time. As such, I’m playing a bit of everything at the moment – and I’m enjoying the variety. To be honest, I’ll probably spend most of my weekend with Invizimals: The Lost Kingdom, as I’m on review duty – but I’m also enjoying PES 2014: Pro Evolution Soccer, Street Fighter X Tekken, and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, which I really should have started a long time ago.

Being a fan of just about anything that includes mechs and space, this weekend will be taken up quite nicely by Strike Suit Zero: Director's Cut on the PlayStation 4. Having not played a space combat game for about nine years, I'd wager that my first few hours with the release won't be particularly enjoyable ones, but I'm more than willing to adapt so that I can become the ace pilot that I was born to be. Neeeaaaaw! Pew pew!

I've got a really bad case of the 'collect all of the things', and I'm itching to exercise these demons in miserable downtrodden city simulator inFAMOUS: Second Son. When I first popped the disc in a couple of days ago, I ended up playing for 12 hours straight, but only managed to complete a paltry four story missions. For you see, what had consumed me so thoroughly was the collection of Blast Shards and the liberation of the city's various districts. So, before I've even earned Fetch's sky writing ability, I possess a stack of some 50 Blast Shards and a 70 per cent stake of control in Seattle. The obsessive collectors are in control now, DUP. We're here.

I've always considered side-scrolling run-and-gun games to have a retro magnetism – for example, I've played Midnight Resistance, Contra III: The Alien Wars, and Metal Slug countless times. Unsurprisingly for a developer that’s partly made up of the Scott Pilgrim vs. The World team, Tribute Games' pixel 2D art style in Mercenary Kings is meticulously drawn, so I’ll reserve some of my Sunday as a celebration of sprites.

My gaming this weekend will be dominated by rage, as my shooting abilities will be seriously tested in Mercenary Kings. I'll also be trying to complete the fiendish Guacamelee in a futile attempt to tackle my PlayStation Vita pile of shame.

This weekend is going to be a bit slow seeing as inFAMOUS: Second Son has already been Platinumed. So like any good Trophy hunter does with his free time, I will be delving back into the world of Ys: Memories of Celceta as I attempt to nab the top trinket. My Vita hasn’t had too much play time recently, so it will be nice to go back to a game that I really enjoyed the first time through.

My plans for this weekend mostly consist of diving headfirst into Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, which, from what I can gather, should have me covered for about the first hour. After that, I'll probably play some more inFAMOUS: Second Son, or perhaps return to the seven seas in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.
Nicola Hayden, News Reporter
After recently picking up New Little Kings Story, it has quickly escalated to an addiction. Saving a kingdom from the dark lord with an army dressed in bunny girl outfits has never been so rewarding. To top off my weekend, I’ll be replaying Journey.

After already having my avatar probed and grossed out in earlier play sessions, this weekend I'll be returning to South Park: The Stick of Truth as I attempt to remove another game from my ever growing backlog. I also want to at least make a start on Dark Souls II as I'm not sure how much longer I can keep sticking my fingers in my ears in an attempt to avoid spoilers whenever it comes up in conversation.

I’ve been neglecting games in favour of massive amounts of course work lately, but luckily this weekend I may have enough time to enjoy myself. How? Well, I’m going to start by trying out Mercenary Kings, which I’m definitely interested in, and I think I might try and finish the third Sly Cooper game, which I started a while back but haven’t finished yet.

I’m currently pondering whether or not I should buy my way into Tamriel with The Elder Scrolls Online, but in all likelihood, I’ll probably just continue my adventures in inFAMOUS: Second Son and Dark Souls II instead. I also might try to do some more of the side missions in Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes.

Surprise! I'll be spending my weekend enjoying Final Fantasy XIV’s second beta phase on the PS4. As a little Push Square secret, I'll probably even load it up via Remote Play to finish off a few quests while at work. If all goes according to plan, my free time and I will challenge the almighty Leviathan Extreme Mode.

This weekend I’ll be keeping to the shadows in an attempt to steal as much loot as possible in Thief on the PS4. I’ll also be returning to Minecraft on the PlayStation 3, as there has been a recent update with lots of lovely goodies.
Alright you lot, quit your jibber-jabber – it’s time for the readers to have a go. What’s keeping you occupied this weekend? Let us know in the comments section below.

I am still enjoying Infamous Second Son so I will be playing that later.
Second son, first run through on expert and good. Awesome!
I'm gonna finish up this last contract in Killzone: Mercenary, then I'll finally get back to finishing up act 3 of Puppeteer.
After that, I have to hunt down Shiva in Arkham Origins and finally force myself to progress further into GTA V's campaign - I hate the fact that I can't do another mission until I do these stupid, random sidequests.
Well, having finally moved on from my 2 month binge of DKC Tropical Freeze, I was able to complete Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Zelda: Link Between Worlds just this past week. With those games out of the way, here's what I'm hopping around on this weekend:
PS4: Infamous Second Son (should have it beat tonight)
Wii U: Metroid Fusion.....Darksiders 2
3DS: Mario & Luigi: Dream Team.....Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D
Vita: Final Fantasy X.....Toukiden
Wii: Zelda: Skyward Sword
I'm playing mercenary kings and infamous on my new ps4 and mario and luigi superstar saga on my wiiU.
Second play-through of second son on Evil/Expert. Sights set on platinum.
Apparently no one's playing anything this weekend! Where is everyone?!
Inf Second Son and The Simpsons, Sly Cooper on Vita
It's been raining all week, and now that I finally have time to start Second Son...the god damned sun is here to stay! Rats...I prefer to play rainy games in the rain.
Also, Scourge Outbreak on PC. One of the developers told me on the Steam Forums that a PSN release is supposed to be at the end of this month! Anyone else excited??
....
(crickets)
Got MLB 14 The Show for Vita so I'll mostly be playing that. Maybe mix in a little MGS V: Ground Zeroes as well to go for the S ranks and I'll be playing through episode 3 of the Paper Trailer in inFamous: Second Son.
I'm too short on time today to play Second Son today, so I might play a random game tomorrow. I'll definitely be returning to inFamous on Monday though.
Infamous second son. I'm like Ben Potter. I've spent so much time colecting shards and taking back control of Seattle i've hardly done any of the story. I'm just about to get my Neon power finaly so i think i'll spend some time playing that this weekend.
Diablo 3 local co-op with the girlfriend on PS3 and Dragon's Crown on the Vita.
Playing Skyrim again is making me wanna try TESonline just for the improved framerate heh. Not even sure it's playable w/out buddies, tho. It's between that and DS2 which is supposed to rule. Life is so hard sometimes.
@Diddy_kong livin' the dream : P
Trying to beat my backlog of PS3 PlaystationPlus games. And some Killzone Shadowfall. infamous will be shelved for a week or so.Or else its going to make these older games look too dated.
still trying to 100% MGSVGZ & also playing Lord of the Rings War in the North I managed to get the collectors edition with the big troll statue for £20
also messing around on naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Impact on my PSP & Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7 on my Vita
Dragons Dogma: Dark Arisen. Just can't seem to let it go. 500 hours in...What a fantastic game that is. "'tis not defeat to flee from battle master, 'tis survival"
I call BS. Never surrender!
@fishwilson - "The Duke could stand to commission some new roads."
One of the few games that I still play after getting the platinum.
Between work and Wrestlmania this week I didn't have time for games. Now that I have the next few days off I might catch up on some games.
I would be playing Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix HD now, if I hadn't lost all of my PS3 save data files.
I'm just not in the mood to have to start from the beginning again, honestly.
