After a prolonged period hovering around the top of the UK sales charts, PlayStation 4 exclusive inFAMOUS: Second Son has comet dropped down into 13th position. The open world excursion still managed to sell well enough to combat the newly released Kinect Sports: Rivals, but couldn’t break into a top ten featuring evergreen titles such as Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and FIFA 14.
New arrival LEGO The Hobbit entered straight in second, one spot behind Titanfall, which was boosted by its delayed Xbox 360 edition. Elsewhere, promotions pushed South Park: The Stick of Truth back up into fourth, while Call of Duty: Ghosts and The LEGO Movie Videogame continued to sell steadily. Interestingly, Football Manager 2014 re-entered in 18th position on the back of the PlayStation Vita release.
As always, you can peruse the full list of movers and shakers through here. We get the distinct impression that Sony’s going to have to battle for those top spots now that the Xbox One has been heavily discounted in the region. Nevertheless, it’s still looking good for the platform holder, with most multiformat titles continuing to sell best on its new machine.

I bet this time titanfal wins by large margin. And its without any big ads for Xbox360

Disgusting isn't it? I really hate what this industry has become. Having been around it my whole life though, it doesn't surprise to see how braindead NA consumers are. I never thought the general consumer in the UK was just as stupid but going by the sales charts that's exactly the case.
@Gamer83 2 years ago mate, Zumba Fitness was number 1 for FIVE (Count em) FIVE WEEKS over here! When it comes to things like this, I can't trust the wider population cos they don't do things like read reviews etc. Every now & then common sense prevails though E.G. The Last of Us number 1 for 6 weeks.
@get2sammyb I don't think we need to worry about Infamous's sales. Sony announced a million sales last week, so they seem pretty happy with it. I think the vast majority of people who were interested in it bought it pretty much day one. I don't think Microsoft will be too happy about Kinect Sports failing to break the top ten, then again look at Elder Scrolls Online...number 2 last week, 19 this week, that's a huge drop.
I expected this from my fellow North Americans, but not the UK. I'm not really surprised, though, because I've been saying for months that most people would just buy the last-gen version of Titanfall.
@Gamer83 @Reverandjames Opinions how do they work?

1. People are not being ripped off, they are not that stupid. Their money, their life and they shouldn't be called such for purchasing games they want to play.
2. The "annualised updates" vs "original games" both get their share of the lime light. Titanfall is a new IP is it not? The Last Of Us? Destiny? Watch Dogs? Evolve? Minecraft? The Order 1886? Driveclub? Project Spark? Give it before the end of this year, to see which is favoured more.
3. This industry is fine. If you want to pin that claim to something: pin it on the MGS 5 "tanker demo" debacle, or on the disc dlc and/or season passes, etc. Something that holds weight but not something so foolish such as purchasing habits.
@Reverandjames @Gamer83 You have to remember that PS4 only has a limited install base compared to PS3/360.
@Big-Boss Exactly
@Reverandjames @Gamer83 Well dah! of course Titanfall outsold SS it was always going two it is after all on three freakin platforms !! (PC X1 Xbox360) Ah!! but who cares Second son still sold 1 million plus copies so it doesn't matter
@Reverandjames Agree to disagree then.
@Reverandjames Sorry my bad
@DaftPlayStation
Yeah, I always expected Titanfall to outsell inFamous, and to be fair, Titanfall, though not for me because it lacks any kind of single-player content, is a well made game. I'm just disappointed to see inFamous drop so quickly behind some of these other releases. But yes, at least it broke a million which is impressive given that it didn't have a ton of advertising (at least not in NA) and PS4 hasn't even broken the 10 mil mark yet. I'm thinking with this game being the best exclusive on PS4, probably for the rest of this year, 2.5 mil or more by the end of December is a good possibility.
